Church Plant

The people of St. Paul have prayed, discerned the Lord’s will, and are now in the process of planting a church.  St. Paul called pastor and church planter Aaron Hannemann in May of 2015 from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis to lead them in this endeavor.  Currently, pastor Aaron and the Church Plant Planning Committee (CPPC) are in the process of praying for God’s guidance, gathering information about the community, and answering the who, what, where, and when questions of the church plant process.  These are the names of those on the CPPC: Tim Rohwer, Jeff Fahrmann, Luke Speltz, Jim Anderson, Nancy Medick, and Travis Wielenga.  Please be in prayer for these individuals.

The bottom line is that we as the people of God are called to share the good news of God’s love poured out for us in Jesus Christ and planting churches is one of the best ways to reach those far from God.

“Planting new churches is the most effective evangelistic methodology known under heaven.” -Missiologist C. Peter Wagner

The name of St. Paul’s church plant is “The Gate.”  Jesus says in John 10:9, “I am the gate, whoever enters through me will be saved.”  It is only through Jesus’ life, death and resurrection that we humans are reconciled to God.  It is through Jesus that we receive abundant life here and now and eternal life in the age to come.  “I have come that they may have life and have it abundantly” (John 10:10b).
